Medical Review Books

The Biochemistry notes from Medical School Companion include all of the topics a medical student must know for mastering the biochemistry portion of their board exams.

The book is divided into three sections: molecular components of cells, protein dynamics, and metabolism and its regulation. Each section builds on the previous in an easy-to-read and organized manner; by starting the discussion small with the basic building blocks of a cell, students gain a strong foundational understanding of biochemistry to then be able to fully understand the metabolic processes, their regulation, and metabolic disorders. Key points and commonly tested concepts are highlighted in each section and emphasized within the text to help students focus on the most important material. Clarifying images are included to help students better understand difficult concepts. These notes are a wonderful resource for medical students to review biochemistry content to achieve success on licensing exams.
