Allergy & Immunology Clerkship

Clinical medicine is built on a foundation of basic medical sciences.

The Immunology Clerkship entails students to be exposed to a variety of patients with a variety of hypersensitivities, allergies, and autoimmune diseases. The student will be expected to have a working knowledge of the molecular, cellular and organ-based functionality of the immune system and the pathologies that  lead to allergies, hypersensitivities, and autoimmune diseases. The student will also be expected to perform a hypothesis driven patient history and physical exam to form differential diagnosis, and from there work out the management and natural history of the pathology.
