Endocrinology Clerkship

Clinical medicine is built on a foundation of basic medical sciences.

During the Endocrinology portion of the Internal Medicine Clerkship students will be exposed to a variety of complex cases involving the endocrine system. Students are expected to develop the ability to diagnose and manage common endocrine disorders including: diabetes, thyroid disorders, lipid disorders, obesity and metabolic bone disease. Additionally they will have the opportunity to recognize less common endocrinopathies including: adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, gonadal dysfunction and calcium disorders.
