WPW: paroxysmal supra ventricular tachycardia. Palpitation, syncope, SOB. Bundle of Kent for accessory pathway. short PR interval (<120ms). Delta wave (abnormal takeoff in EKG). Increase in width of QRS complex and T wave inversion. Procainamide used
Atrial fibrillation: supra ventricular tachycardia. Palpitations, syncope, SOB. Multiple micro re-entry circuits. No P waves, choppy baseline, R-R interval variability. Atrial fibrosis caused, dilation of atria (HTN, ischemia, MS) Inflammation (sarcoidosis, RA). Tx - acute (rhythm) chronic (regulate rate)Embolism (anticoagulation of factors not platelets)
